Offering one to one English tuition to secondary students, online and face to face

Hi I’m Emily :)

I offer one to one tuition to secondary school students, online and in person.

For in person tuition this covers the wider Southend on sea area and castle point.

I am an English lit and creative writing graduate, and a life long bookworm. I’m passionate about literature and reading, and an excited to share that enthusiasm with my students, developing their confidence and their skills.

Upon graduating I worked for a year in a secondary school as an English instructor, and then for the last ten years have worked in the civil service, with extensive experience in communications.

I am also studying towards a level 4 diploma in counselling.

I offer a person centre, gentle and intuitive approach, with the session tailored to the individual student and their needs.

I recognise the important of exams, and exam confidence, but also believe it is important to foster engagement with the material, and to help find that wider love for literature and learning.

My rates are:

25 pounds per hour for online
30 pounds per hour for in person

50 percent discount on first lesson, and I offer a free 15 min introductory chat.
