I am a tutor with prior experience in a tutoring firm. I have worked with secondary school children and occasionally sixth form children. I have taught english, maths at a GCSE level as well as french. I use different teaching methods to suit the child I am tutoring. Examples include: Quizzes, Past papers, Short exercises, Videos. To begin with, communication with the child is essential to get an idea of what they’re struggling with which then allows me to focus on those areas more. At the start I do tend to use methods like: Fast-paced drills, Assessment through games and the pause procedure. However, the most important part is getting to know the child and then tailoring their tutoring experience for them.
