I am an experienced piano teacher. I enter students for ABRSM and Trinity examintations up to grade 8. I have a 100 % pass rate

I have a degree in music and the piano was my specialist instrument.
I have much experience as a performer and accompanist as well as teaching the piano.
I am happy to teach students of all ages and levels from beginner up to grade 8. I do enter students for exams with good results, however I am happy to teach students who want to play for pleasure and do not want to do exams.
I make every attempt in my teaching to tailor repertoire to suit the musical interests of the student. I use music from all periods and styles including jazz and popular music alongside learning to play with a solid technique.
I have taught GCSE and A level music and am used to coaching students in all aspects of these courses up to a high standard.
I am also familiar with the ABRSM music theory syllabus and am happy to teach this up to grade 8 standard.
