Combined science and Biology Tutor GCSE tutor

Hi! I am an incoming forensic science bachelor student at De Montfort University and I am offering tutoring support for GCSE combined science and triple science specifically Biology.

Having recently completed A-Level Biology and a BTEC national certificate in Applied Science, I understand how overwhelming science can sometimes feel especially when there's lots to remember. I want to help students build their confidence, understand topics properly, and find learning methods that work best for them. Having 2 years experience in childcare with a variety of children, I understand that everyone learns differently and finds different things challenging.

What to expect from our lessons:
-Getting to know you- we will start by getting to know eachother and discussing your goals and what you find difficult and how you prefer to learn
-Learning your way- whether you prefer flashcards and active recall, quizzes, gap fills, diagrams and mindmaps or mnemonics, we will find what works for your brain
-Breaking topics down- I will help you digest and understand difficult concepts and make them more manageable for you
-Building confidence- I know learning new information can be so challenging but we can work through practice questions and identify gaps in your knowledge whilst developing exam techniques specific to your exam board

Overall my goal is to make lessons engaging and tailored to you to support you so science feels less overwhelming and more manageable.
