My lessons are designed to be clear, structured, and engaging. I usually begin each session by identifying the student’s needs—whether it’s revising tricky topics, improving exam technique, or building confidence in core concepts.
I use a mix of teaching methods:
Clear explanations of key biological processes, often linking them to past exam questions.
Active recall and practice questions to strengthen understanding and boost exam performance which is a critical skill.
Diagrams, flowcharts, and visual aids to break down complex topics.
I will use the relevant board specification as a checklist ensuring that each topic is covered as thoroughly as possible, making sure there are no gaps in my students understanding and knowledge.
Exam technique support, including how to structure answers to gain maximum marks.
My lessons are interactive rather than lecture-style—I encourage students to ask questions, test their understanding, and take an active role in their learning.
My Experience:
As a medical student, I have a strong background in Biology and can explain concepts from both an experience and expertise. As a former GCSE and A-Level Biology student, i am aware of what the exams require and the level of knowledge and exam techniques needed to score high marks. I’ve also worked with younger students before, so I’m experienced in tailoring lessons to different learning styles and levels of ability. I’m a very patient teacher and will encourage my students to keep trying until the best grade is achieved. My goal is to make Biology not just understandable, but enjoyable and relevant.
