GCSE and A-Level Maths Tutor

About me:

I am a Mechanical Engineer with 4 years of experience in manufacturing, and 2 years of experience working with young people, including the previous year where I underwent formal teacher training. I like to think that I can easily bridge the gap between theory inside a crowded classroom and the real world around us. I teach all STEM at GCSE, and I can teach Maths and Physics at A-Level. I am enthusiastic, not overly serious (so long as the work is completed) and highly adaptable to the full spectrum of needs and learning styles.

My lessons:

Sessions are entirely bespoke, and focus heavily on visuals and practice. I can't stand the sound of my own voice for more than a few minutes at a time and I don't expect anybody else to. Instead, sessions will hinge around creating models, on paper or otherwise, and then putting those models into practice until mastery has been achieved. Every session will end on a brief set of exam style questions, which will guarantee that the material has been fully understood and provide valuable practice for the real exams.

The setup:

Tutoring can be in person or remote. I run a professional class with Google Workspace - lessons take place via Meet, with Slides presentations running, and a litany of resources will be made available for students on Classroom.
