Advert description
I am a Law undergraduate student who has loved English my whole life! Throughout school I have always been reading and writing short stories or poems, even being selected by my headmaster to read out a poem I had written for my school’s prize giving ceremony in year 10. I have also engaged in a variety of methods in terms of learning, remembering and practising English, from mind maps and flashcards to doing whole past papers, so I can definitely help find and utilise a method that works for you! Furthermore, I adore analysing texts and theorising on the various meanings or concepts a line in a novel or poem can have, and then using these ideas to form discursive essays! However, as mentioned before, I also love the more lightweight side of English such as simply writing poems. Overall, I have always had a strong passion for English and would love to help other students too!
Lessons and teaching can be completely personalised for each student, whether that be working through texts, crafting essays or working through past papers! Anyone from year 7 to A-level can get in contact with lessons being online and ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour, however more or less time can be requested if necessary. Having achieved the highest grade possible, an A* in A-level English Literature, as well as a grade 9 (the highest) at GCSE level for both English Literature and English Language, I am well equipped and skilled to help guide students at a range of levels and needs! In addition to this, I was a finalist in a University’s law essay competition which landed me an invite to their London campus for a finalist event! Lessons can be aimed at crafting essays, textual analysis or even just developing your English/ writing skills; whatever you need, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
