English Tutor providing lessons to Primary school children

I am a partner in a law firm but giving my notice in shortly to follow my passion in tutoring. I have been working for Action Tutoring for the last 2 years providing English tutoring to yr5, yr6 and yr7. I have done the 120 hour premier course with TEFL and have a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).

I like to focus on a text or article as the basis of my lesson and work through the new words and phrases, follows by reading the Article and some questions related to the article focusing on the key skills required by the Curriculum such as retrieval, define and Infer. At the end of the lesson I like to have a wrap up of what has been learnt and to discuss how difficult the student found the topic. From the review and performance I can then prepare my next lesson focusing on areas that need more work and to the students needs.

I am looking forward to watching my pupils discover the English language and seeing them progress over time. I don't think there is anything more rewarding.
