I have been an English tutor for 2 years teaching primarily for primary school children. I have also got a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). This incorporated Grammar & Language Awareness, Video
Observation, Telephone Teaching and Teaching Large Classes.

Prior to tutoring I was a partner at a law firm. This required an excellent understanding of the English language and drafting complicated documents. I still regularly present seminars and have written 2 books that have been published.

Within my lessons I tend to focus on an interesting text or newspaper article to aid in learning the English language. I focus on looking at new words and phrases as well as grammar and understanding within my lessons. The usual format is to look at some new words and their pronunciation, proceed to read the article and then look at some questions that relate to the text.

I will then open the lesson up for a discussion related to the words identified and the article and finish with a review of what you have learnt and a quick recap of any words or grammar which caused any difficulty.

If there are certain areas you are more interested in, I will find articles/texts related to those fields as it is key to make sure you find the lesson engaging and exciting so you can get the most out of the lesson.
