I like to keep the student at the heart of the teaching process, so I make sure they are well engaged with interactive demonstrations I might give, targetted practice questions that I would bring along and work through with them, etc. rather than just explaining the content verbally. I like to ensure the student comes out of the sessions having a better understanding of the topic in question; I will break down more complex topics into simpler ideas and build up on them based on the student's personal understanding.
