Private online tuition for National 5 and Higher Computing Science

I am an experienced secondary Computing Science teacher and currently a Principal Teacher of Digital Technologies in a Scottish secondary school. I specialise in National 5 and Higher Computing Science and have extensive experience preparing pupils for SQA assessments, assignments and final examinations.

I have a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, a PGCE in Secondary Education and over 10 years of teaching experience. I am fully registered with the GTCS and have also worked as an examiner, giving me a strong understanding of assessment, marking and how pupils can improve their exam technique.

My tuition is tailored to the individual pupil. I can support pupils with Python programming, software design and development, database design and development, computer systems, testing and other areas of the National 5 and Higher courses. I can also help identify gaps in knowledge and focus tuition on the areas where a pupil will gain the most marks.

I aim to explain difficult concepts in a clear, straightforward way and give pupils plenty of opportunities to practise what they have learned. Tuition can be used for regular ongoing support, catching up on missed learning, improving confidence or focused preparation for prelims and SQA examinations.
