Looking to tutor GCSE students in Maths and/or physics

I am a second year A-Level student taking Maths, Further Maths and Physics, with A* grades in all three, and I will be starting my degree in Maths & Physics this year.

I strongly believe that many students struggle with GCSE Maths and Physics not because they “aren’t good at it”, but because schools often focus too heavily on memorising methods rather than teaching students how to think through unfamiliar problems. As a result, many capable students feel lost the moment a question looks slightly different from what they’ve seen in class.

My approach focuses on building strong problem-solving instincts alongside exam techniques. I help students understand what to do when they get stuck, how to break down complicated questions, spot patterns, and develop their own methods

I work particularly well with:

- Students who feel overwhelmed or lack confidence, helping them develop clear, structured thinking and regain belief in their ability.

- High-achieving students who want to go further, deepen their understanding, and explore more challenging ideas in Maths or Physics.

I am aware for most parents, picking an A-level student is a leap of faith. But I believe having completed my GCSEs fairly recently means I am much closer to the pitfalls most people fall into
