I specialise in neurodiversity affirming practice, this means shifting from trying to "fix" a students deficits to honouring their unique learning style.
This can be applied also to neurotypical students. I offer choices, in how students learn and participate in lessons, this means that a sometimes daunting experience becomes connective. I use a strengths based goal setting, which focuses on their strengths. to build confidence and ensure goals are co-created with the students and therefore encourages students to take ownership.
