Experienced English Tutor | KS2–KS3 | Reading, Writing & Exam Skills

I am a qualified primary teacher with extensive experience teaching across Key Stages 1 and 2, with a particular focus on upper Key Stage 2 and early secondary learners. I specialise in English language, supporting students in developing strong reading comprehension, analytical thinking, and confident written expression.
My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I focus on building core skills such as inference, vocabulary development, grammar accuracy, and clear writing organisation, while also helping students prepare effectively for exams and assessments.
I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing independence. Lessons often include guided reading of high-quality texts, targeted questioning, and structured writing tasks to ensure steady and measurable progress.
My aim is not only to improve academic performance, but also to build confidence and a genuine understanding of language that students can carry forward into their education.
