English tutor experienced in GCSE and A-Level English

As a Further Education (16+) teacher I teach a range of qualifications across all levels. I've taught from foundation level (Functional Skills entry level) up to A Level English language, so there isn't much I haven't covered! I've also taught adult education, and privately tutored 11-16 year olds so I have plenty of experience of all types of learners. Since taking on my current role, I've become a language specialist, with a particular focus on grammar rules and functions, particularly how it pertains to expressions of identity and the self. I've also developed skills relating to how to nurture effective and engaging creative writing. I've blended and applied these skills into coaching students in exam preparation meaning that I am part of a team that achieved a 75% pass rate for Functional Skills English, 70% pass rate for GCSE English (grades 4-9), and 100% pass rate in A Level English language, with 80% achieving a C or higher.
