Advert description
I am a professional violinist with a strong passion for classical music, musical development, and helping others discover their potential through music. I believe that learning the violin goes beyond mastering an instrument; it requires discipline, patience, creativity, consistency, and a genuine appreciation for musical expression.
My approach to teaching is student centred, structured, and practical. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students can develop at their own pace while being challenged to improve. Whether I am teaching a complete beginner or a student with some musical experience, I focus on building a strong foundation before progressing to more advanced techniques.
My lessons cover essential violin skills, including correct posture, instrument and bow hold, bowing techniques, intonation, rhythm, note reading, scales, sight-reading, tone production, and musical interpretation. I also help students develop effective practice habits, listening skills, confidence, and the ability to perform in front of an audience.
I believe in combining technical exercises with enjoyable and meaningful repertoire to keep students motivated. I set clear learning goals, monitor progress, identify areas that need improvement, and provide constructive feedback that encourages growth rather than discouragement. I also emphasise the importance of regular practice and help students understand how to practise effectively, not just for longer hours.
As a teacher, I aim to be patient, approachable, disciplined, and attentive to each student's needs. My goal is not simply to teach students how to play the right notes, but to help them become expressive, confident, independent, and responsible musicians who appreciate the value of music.
I would bring commitment, professionalism, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for music education to any institution or teaching opportunity. I look forward to contributing to students' musical growth and helping them build skills that will benefit them both as musicians and as individuals.
