Friendly, patient and fluent German speaker, enthusiastic about helping students build confidence and enjoy learning German.

I believe effective teaching starts with understanding and adapting lessons to specific students' needs, level and goals. As a fluent German speaker and part of a full German family, I feel I can help students develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills while making lessons engaging and fun. I would encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes and build confidence without feeling pressured; I aim to create a calm, safe environment in my lessons. Although I have not previously worked as a formal tutor, I have experience working with children through volunteering. During Year 13, I volunteered weekly with a Thai kindergarten, where I worked with other students to plan and organise activities for them to learn English. This helped me develop patience, communication, organisation and the ability to explain things clearly. Having grown up in international environments and spoken both German and English from an early age, I understand the importance of adapting communication to different people. I would aim to make each lesson supportive, while adjusting the pace depending on what the student finds most helpful. My goal is for students to leave each lesson feeling that they have learned something useful and are more confident using German, including both the language and the culture.
