Patient and creative English tutor offering online lessons

I am an English tutor with over five years combined experience tutoring English and Drama. My previous students have seen marked improvements in exam results, overall literacy, and interest in English as a result of my tutoring. My teaching style is patient and focused on the student's needs, and I have experience teaching students with dyslexia and autism/ADHD at KS3 and GCSE level. I have experience tutoring English Literature and Language for the AQA, EdExcel and Pearson IGCSE exam boards, as well as having taught Scottish National 5 and Higher.

I am skilled in responding to individual learning styles and identifying gaps in knowledge. I have always been patient and understanding of the difficulties students face in essay-based subjects, and am able to focus increasing the student’s understanding of useful techniques in order to build their competence in academic writing at the secondary level.
