At 19, I hopped on a plane to Colombia and never really came back, at least not in spirit. What started as a crush on the Spanish language turned into a full-blown love story: four years of a Spanish degree, summers spent bouncing between Latin America and Spain, and finally settling in Granada, where I’ve lived for the past 8 years (and honestly, I’m basically Spanish now,just ask my Chilean partner, who drags me back to South America every year). Spanish isn’t something I just studied, it’s something I lived. And now, I pour all of that experience into my teaching by creating fun, dynamic, engaging lessons that go way beyond textbooks. Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to polish your fluency, I’ll help you fall in love with Spanish the way I did.

I was recommended to Katy by a friend and I am so glad I was. Katy is an excellent teacher and I have learnt so much Spanish in a really fun way. She is very patient and uses different methods of teaching depending on your own experience and knowledge, using visual, listening, written and verbal exercises. Katy also gave links to useful tools to help with learning and when doing the exercises outside of the lessons. All lessons were done through google classroom which was extremely easy to use and all communication was by email or WhatsApp depending on the lesson or exercise she wanted me to do. She was very flexible with her time and would accommodate any need to change the time of my session. I would highly recommend Katy if you are looking for a teacher of Spanish. There was no pressure to commit to a strict schedule so I could take a break whenever other commitments were needed. She is also just a lovely person.

My speaking has improved significantly with Katy's lessons. They helped me sort out the grammar and put every jigsaw pieces in its right place over time. The classes are speaking-focused with an amount of grammatic explanation that is not overwhelming. As a person, she's cheerful, easy-going and shows genuine interest in my language skill development. I most definitely recommend her classes.
