I'm a fully qualified secondary school English teacher with a Masters (distinction) in Creative Writing. My degree is in English Language and Literature and I have several years of teaching experience. I'm currently writing my second novel and am working towards my PhD in Creative Writing. In the past two years, I've been highly commended in Spread the Word Life Writing Prize, longlisted for the Bridport Short Story Award, longlisted for the Bridport First Novel Award, and longlisted for the Brick Lane Bookshop Short Story Competition. These competitions receive thousands of entries and so to be placed is quite an achievement!

I have a talent for improving a learner's confidence and motivating them to succeed. I have a great love of the English language and am passionate about English literature: it is my aim to pass on this enthusiasm to my students.
