Experienced PhD tutor offering lessons in social sciences, politics, anthropology and academic writing

I am an experienced and supportive tutor with a strong academic background in social sciences, politics, anthropology and Middle Eastern studies. I recently completed my PhD at the University of Exeter, where I also taught undergraduate students in politics, Middle Eastern studies and social science modules.

My lessons are aimed at school pupils, university students and adult learners who want to improve their understanding, confidence and academic skills. I can help with essay writing, essay planning, critical thinking, research skills, argument development, reading difficult texts, exam preparation and dissertation support. I also support students studying politics, sociology, anthropology, history, international relations and Middle Eastern studies.

My teaching style is clear, patient and flexible. I always begin by understanding the student’s level, goals and areas of difficulty, then I adapt the lesson to their needs. In my lessons, we can work through readings, plan essays together, discuss key concepts, improve structure and clarity, or practise writing stronger arguments. I aim to make complex ideas easier to understand and help students express themselves with confidence.

I have experience teaching seminars, supporting students, giving essay feedback and helping learners develop their ideas. I also have experience in translation and language support, especially in Arabic, English, French and Turkish. This allows me to work well with students from different backgrounds, including international students who want to improve their academic English or writing style.

My goal is to create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving step by step.
