Hello everyone!
I am a friendly, patient and supportive tutor with experience teaching and guiding students at university level. My teaching style is clear, structured and adapted to each student’s needs. I always begin by understanding the student’s level, goals and areas of difficulty, then I design lessons that help them build confidence step by step.
My lessons are interactive and practical. Rather than simply explaining things, I encourage students to ask questions, think critically and practise throughout the lesson. Depending on the subject, we may work on essay planning, academic writing, grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, speaking practice, exam preparation, or understanding difficult concepts. I also help students improve the structure and clarity of their arguments, which is especially useful for essays, dissertations and university assignments.
I have recently completed my PhD at the University of Exeter, where I also taught politics, Middle Eastern studies and social science modules. This gave me strong experience in seminar teaching, student support, essay feedback and helping learners develop their ideas in a clear and confident way. I also have experience as a translator and interpreter, working across Arabic, English, French and Turkish.
I can support school pupils, university students and adult learners. I am particularly suited to students who want help with academic writing, research skills, social sciences, politics, anthropology, Middle Eastern studies, Arabic, English, French, or Turkish. My aim is to create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and improving at their own pace.
