Students who want to learn, I teach Mathematics to a GCSE standard very well

I am a supportive teaching assistant with over seven years’ experience working with children of secondary school age. I have proven experience of being able to develop effective and successful working relationships with students and staff. I have a strong understanding of the secondary school national curriculum and have tested experience of supporting teachers with lesson planning and classroom activities. I am empathetic and sensitive towards the varied needs of the students I assist, and I am passionate about working towards the collective goal of student independence. I provide classroom assistance to all teachers; my duties include helping children with tasks preparing materials for lessons and assisting with classroom management. I am organised and efficient always prepared for each day’s lessons. I possess good communication skills with a friendly outgoing personality. I have an understanding of educational principles and am effective at helping students to understand material and I am adept at calming tense or stressful situations. Throughout my time at university and for a year after, I worked for Enfield Mencap helping special needs and learning disabilities. I helped service users obtain job roles they never thought they would get. I integrated them into society and boosted their confidence. Academically, I have achieved grade A's in GCSE Maths and English Literature, along with A in A-level Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in the same subject. I also work on matchdays in Premier League stadiums across London. This has driven me further to obtain employment in sports industry.
