A resolute maths tutor dedicating maths lessons to children, understanding the intrinsic value one-to-one tutoring provides.

As a current sixth form student I firmly believe in the importance and effectiveness of tutoring compared to classroom teaching. A 9 and A in my Maths GCSES and AS respectively, rewarded the 2024 High achievers award for STEM by Enfield council, my dedication to maths as a subject makes me certain that I can tackle the stress, frustration and difficulties that maths brings to many students, especially given the school environment I exist in where I've seen these challenges in my fellow classmates. With a rise in technology learning visually has often been the primary source of learning for a lot of students, including myself, I've for a year went to maths tutoring and found success in it being able to further my understanding in maths and being a crucial reason for my success in maths GCSES. Visual learning provides students adequate resources with the various websites and learning platforms that is not limited to an hour lesson in school where other subjects are also taking into consideration thus reiterating the lack of effectiveness that I believe classroom teaching provides compared to one-to-one teaching, my current knowledge in AS and A level maths allows me to provide foundational to advanced teaching and what I believe is the best teaching methods that can help build a student's confidence. Overall I am best suited for this role, being able to tailor my experiences to best help students achieve success in such a vital subject that will help them further in life.
