An accredited Canadian language teacher that promotes fluency and accuracy through ACQUISITION

Advert description
Beyond having degrees in languages (Bachelor of Arts - Scandinavian Studies, German language and literature + Bachelor of Education - German, Japanese [Danish, Hungarian]) and a TEFL Certificate, I've come to re-adjust and later my teaching style to utilising the Natural Approach (TPRS) through interactive, contextual and stimulating conversations; that is exactly how my sessions will feel. By relaxing the brain, you are not overusing the conscious part of the brain but rather allowing for the subconscious part of the brain (where behaviour is rooted and where understanding [not just knowing] and structuring of concepts, ideas, information, and the like, genuine memory, and flow [thus, fluency] are developed) is allowed to "take over" because the subconscious is so powerful that we actually ACQUIRE things, not just learn about them. I've struggled with the same insufficiency with languages for years, until I finally realised that all I need do is be NATURAL. I still apply pedagogical methods to my sessions, but that's on my end of the process. What I promote and induce in others is ease, childlikeness, nature, confidence, and thus fluency. Why separate grammar and vocabulary from the whole picture when we can instead just get the whole picture itself... It works for me, it has worked for many of those I continue to help, and it will work for you. I go beyond 'teaching', 'telling' and 'informing'; I encourage, empower, and employ everything and anything so that we communicate and relate with one another much better, through what we believe we have lost - wholeness. Languages are more than just information, sounds, content, and structure; they stem from culture (collective behaviour) and personality (individual behaviour). Even more so, behaviour stems from intention and how we express intention (e.g. gestures when we want something or when we're hungry). Languages are tools. Our intentions are the catalysts for expression and communication. Plus, it takes more than experience and exposure. It's a shift in one's mindset (i.e. returning to childlikeness - allowing, intuition, instinct, creativity, curiosity, adventurousness, patience, forgiving). Everything is connected, yes, just as life is. Language is part of life. I bring life to our sessions.
