Native Spanish and Physics/Maths/Science tutor. 3 years experience with 15-20 year olds. BSc in Physics with Astrophysics

Advert description
I am an MSc student with experience mostly on one-to-one teaching. I have always felt like Science (especially Physics and Math) has been taught the wrong way. My focus lies on teaching my students how to study and how to learn about these subjects in an interesting and engaging way, rather than memorising everything and spitting it out later. My favourite way to teach science is by going through the theory first, get the student to understand some examples and then encourage them to tell me how they would go on about solving other similar problems. As a student, you'll never be alone and it will be more like a conversation rather than a lecture. I love to use ridiculous examples so they will stay with you when the time for remembering them comes. With me as a tutor, we will go step by step, breaking steps into smaller steps if necessary, to make sure we understand everything correctly and can apply it later to any problem. This is the way I was taught in university and it works wonders, not just for me, but for anyone who's even slightly interested in the subject. I'll reach out to that natural curiosity for sciences we all have and learning will become fun. If this is of any help to the reader, I have taught several levels of Mathematics, university-level Biophysics, university-level Physics and Astrophysics, GCSE Biology, GCSE Chemistry and Spanish A1-B2. Of course, being Spanish native I can easily teach the language up to quite a high degree, whether you've never had any experience learning a language or Spanish is the fifth language you'd like to learn, I can adapt to both your experience and learning rate.

Renzo prepared me for my year abroad in Madrid. It only took about 7 classes for me to develop a Spanish level adequate to survive abroad. He is very patient and understanding. Muchas gracias!

As a Physiotherapy student, i struggled a lot in uni with Biophysics. Renzo is a very knowledgeable person in his field and you can tell he is passionate about teaching and getting concepts to click in his students’ minds. Now every time I struggle with similar concepts I ask him for help, 10/10!
