Advert description
I am a First Class Biology graduate from the University of Bristol, and my teaching is always tailored to each student’s needs.
I begin by identifying their strengths, gaps in understanding, and preferred learning style. From there, I break down complex biology concepts into clear, manageable steps, using real-world examples from my research experience to make the subject engaging and memorable.
I provide structured guidance for homework, exam preparation, and essay-style questions, while also teaching effective study practices that I developed myself as both a graduate and a former IB student, having achieved a score of 40 in the rigorous IB Diploma. This experience means I understand first-hand the challenges of managing demanding syllabuses and exam pressures, and I can guide students in honing not only their subject knowledge but also their study strategies.
For school-level students (GCSE, A-level, IB), I support with content mastery and exam preparation, often incorporating past paper practice and revision techniques to build confidence. For university students, I provide a deeper focus on data interpretation, critical analysis, and scientific writing, drawing on my own academic background and research training. My experience ranges from fieldwork in Costa Rica to independent ecological research in Bristol, allowing me to illustrate biological principles with practical, real-world examples.
Above all, my lessons are interactive and supportive. I aim to foster both confidence and curiosity, so that students not only achieve their academic goals but also develop a genuine interest in the subject.
