English Tutor for students of all ages and abilities!

Hello there! My name is Lauryn, and I am an English Tutor. I have been tutoring folks of all abilities and ages since 2018, when I began my own tutoring business. I read, discuss, and improve student work, which includes essays, reports, assignments, presentations, and more! While some tutors focus on reaching a target grade, I like to focus on genuine understanding and learning to better benefit students in the long run. To achieve this, I discuss themes and elements of literature, teach critical thinking, grammar skills, and writing techniques, and walk students through mistakes and misunderstandings until they feel comfortable and confident with a concept. Overall, my goal is to help students meet set deadlines and achieve their desired grades by improving their skills and understanding.
