English tutor providing lessons for students of all ages

Hello! My name's Karishma. I'm able to tutor English Literature, English Language, English as a foreign language and Creative Writing (particularly poetry). My teaching is tailored to the learning style of individual students. I am interested in understanding how each student learns most effectively and working with them to improve areas they feel least confident in.

A bit about me:
I hold a First-Class Honours degree in English Literature from Durham University and am now completing my masters in Literature and Modernity at The University of Edinburgh.

In terms of my experience with creative writing, I am a poet whose work appears in magazines such as The North, Ink Sweat and Tears and Modron. I was shortlisted for the 2021 Aurora Prize and the 2022 Creative Future Writers' Award. I am also a member of The Writing Squad and alumnus of the Roundhouse Poetry Collective.
