Trilingual Language Teacher & Actor | English, Italian & German | 8+ Years' Experience

Advert description
Trilingual language teacher (Italian, English and German) with 8+ years’ experience across Switzerland and the UK
CELTA & DELTA (Module 1) qualified, with a focus on exam preparation and communicative teaching
Experienced exam interlocutor (OET, CILS) and invigilator (Cambridge, IELTS, OET, CILS)

I’ve worked with learners of all ages across public education (Swiss cantonal high schools) and private institutions, including International House London, The London School of Modern Languages, and The English School Lugano.

I have prepared students for a range of exams, including Cambridge Young Learners (Starters and Movers) and Italian GCSE (AQA and Edexcel). I also work as a speaking interlocutor (OET, CILS) and exam invigilator (Cambridge, IELTS, OET, CILS).

Alongside teaching, I’m a professional actor and run drama-based workshops to support language learning, public speaking, and presentation skills. I have delivered communication workshops for learners and professionals, including students at Marangoni Fashion School, members of Toastmasters, and pupils in Swiss cantonal schools.

My teaching focuses on authentic communication and learner confidence, with a particular interest in Dogme, Total Physical Response, and emergent language. I also have experience adapting lessons for neurodiverse learners, including students with autism and ADHD. I always encourage my learners to play and to have fun with language.

In 2018, I co-developed a proposal for an English summer camp for young learners in collaboration with International House Como, which was awarded a competitive bid. In 2024, I contributed to a Dogme Development project and spoke as a panel member at the Future of Training Conference. More recently, I appeared as a video contributor in the latest edition of English File (Oxford University Press).

I graduated from the University of Bern in 2018 with a BA in English (minor in Italian), awarded "insigni cum laude" (top academic distinction).
