Hi, I'm Josh, a current Engineering 3rd year at Durham University. My lessons are based in Maths, Physics, and Computer Science.

I give private, tailored lessons in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and some modules of Further Mathematics. I aim to help students in topics they have been exposed to but don't understand, using questions rather than theory. This allows me to develop a solving method with my students for each type of question, allowing the student to learn each method and properly understand the topic. Unlike other Tutors, I believe in helping my students to build effective mental maps of the problem solving methods around a topic, making them much easier to recall in an exam. This has proven to be successful during my time as an 11+ tutor, as well as during my experience tutoring GCSE students later on. I aim to create a simple, relaxed and inquisitive environment for my students while providing parents and employers with concise but detailed feedback, allowing for a healthy learning experience that can be easily monitored.
