My usual lesson plan involves 2 parts: teaching and applying knowledge. I adapt my approach based on the student. Depending on their needs, I am better able to gauge how they can benefit most from our lessons. However, I have found that knowledge application has been the most successful in boosting students’ grades and promoting critical thinking. By getting students to think about the subject as more than just theory, they gain confidence in their abilities. Whether it be exam questions or long answer planning, the lesson becomes more interactive and enjoyable for the students as they have a say in their education. I have kept the parents of my former students updated on their progress, and will continue to do so through a brief summary of each lesson with your child.
