Creative mentor and design student at the Royal College of Art offering inspiring online Art & Design lessons for young creatives & portfolio review

Hello! My name is Yuntong (Lucy) Deng, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Design at the Royal College of Art. I previously studied Design at Loughborough University and spent a year working at L’Oréal UK, where I gained valuable creative and professional experience.

Having grown up in China, Saudi Arabia, and Portugal, I have developed a deep sensitivity to different cultures and ways of expression. This global perspective influences my teaching style open, empathetic, and adaptable to each student’s background and personality.

I have always loved interacting with children of all ages and believe that encouraging creativity and helping students discover their unique talents are the most important parts of learning. My lessons focus on hands-on making, guiding students to explore their imagination while learning about colour, composition, and materials.

Each session is personalised to the student’s level, interests, and learning goals, ensuring a fun and meaningful creative experience. In addition to creative art lessons, I can also help review and develop design portfolios, supporting students who wish to pursue art and design studies in the future.

My goal is to inspire confidence, curiosity, and joy through the creative process, helping every student express their ideas freely and grow through making.
