Yuntong (Lucy) Deng

Hello! My name is Yuntong (Lucy) Deng, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Design at the Royal College of Art. I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Design, and before that, I completed the International Baccalaureate with Visual Arts at Higher Level. Art and design have always been a central part of my life, and I am passionate about helping others discover the joy of creativity.

Although I am new to formal teaching, I have always loved interacting with children of all ages and believe that every student has unique creative potential. My lessons are built around encouragement, exploration, and hands-on learning. I guide students through fun and engaging activities that nurture their imagination while introducing key concepts such as colour theory, composition, form, and materials.

Each session will be personalised to the student’s level, interests, and goals whether they are just starting to explore art or looking to build stronger design skills. I aim to create a comfortable and inspiring environment where students feel confident expressing their ideas and developing their own visual voice.

I believe art should be both enjoyable and educational, combining structured guidance with freedom to experiment. My goal is to help students grow creatively, gain practical skills, and most importantly, have fun through the process of making and discovering.
