Brazilian Portuguese teacher

I have got a degree in Letras at the Oeste Paulista University in Brazil. This course enabled me to teach Portuguese and English. In addition, I went on a three year-course to fluently speak English and French.
In Brazil, I have taught Portuguese and English for 14 years at private and state schools for all levels and age groups.

I studied TEFL, a course that enables me to teach English all over the world, and PLE another course that enables me to teach Portuguese to those ones whose mother tongue is not Portuguese.

My lessons are made based on the interests and goals of each student. Authentic materials such as Youtube videos, Brazilian interview programs, games magazines and newspaper articles, culture, and lots of other different activities to make the class interesting, taking into consideration that each student has a different background, and the speed of learning varies from one student to another.

That is why my lessons are personalized and adapted to each student. We must know that each individual has a different reality, and the same size doesn't fit all.

I follow a coursebook only as a guide because the lessons are made by me.
At the end of the class, feedback is asked to know what the student liked or not.
I work on the 4 skills every class, in order to give a chance to the student to progress.

Every 3 months, an assessment is carried out to know what the student needs more emphasis. 70% of the class is student talking.

At this time, I already know their weaknesses and strengths, which helps me a lot to improve my teaching accordingly.
