Advert description
I am a qualified secondary maths teacher with experience teaching across KS3 and KS4, including Foundation GCSE. My teaching style is calm, structured and supportive, with a strong focus on building confidence and understanding rather than memorising methods.
My lessons are particularly suited to students who may find maths challenging due to low confidence, anxiety, attention difficulties, or neurodivergent learning styles such as ADHD, autism or dyslexia. I work well with students who are capable but struggle to stay focused, feel overwhelmed, or have had negative experiences with maths in the past.
I use clear modelling, step-by-step scaffolding and guided practice to help students understand both the maths and how to approach exam questions. Sessions are adapted to suit each learner, creating a safe, low-pressure environment where students feel supported, heard and able to make progress at their own pace.
I primarily support KS3 and GCSE students (Edexcel), including those working towards a Grade 4 pass, but I also work with learners who need stretch, structure or a more personalised approach to maths.
