Advert description
Speaker of 4 languages and young individual ready to share my passion for Spanish. From starting Spanish at GCSE and A-Level to studying Modern Languages and Business at the University of Nottingham, I have also lived and studied abroad in Zaragoza, Spain which developed my interpersonal communication skills as well as grammar and knowledge of cultural differences all of which I am ready to share and practice with any individual to their specific requirements and needs. Whilst in Spain I took classes of teaching Spanish grammar to foreign students and with this content I successfully know how to approach students with English language familiarities and grammar and how to build a connection between their mother tongue and a new, foreign language.
Prior to any lesson plans I would discuss with the students what topics they are aware of and what they consider their strong and weak points/topics. Next I would build a list of topics known through this discussion and questionnaire, to organise an effective and realistic schedule with which we can start to build more knowledge and practice of spoken, written and listening exercises of the Spanish language.
With each class, I would end it with a feedback exercise to know more about the student and their needs. My students would be able to give their opinion on the classes in order for me to know which learning techniques suit them, and which do not appeal so much. My main aim is also to build a relationship with the students, and be able to push them a little bit out of their comfort zone, which as I know from my own studies, does not occur as much in class due to the teacher, student ratio. In my classes I would like to familiarise myself with the students and let them have their own individual time to bring up questions and practice without having to share their learning time with others' needs.
