English and Literacy Tutoring with an emphasis on raising your child's self-esteem

I am an experienced English Teacher with a strong background in SEND as well as all aspects of Literacy. I have worked with all age groups in both Primary and Secondary schools, as well as in a specialist SEMH school setting.

I offer sessions on any aspect of English or Literacy from ages 7+

Having worked in the education system for over 16 years, I fully appreciate how the 'one size fits all' approach doesn't work for all children. This can be frustrating for everyone involved, not least you and your child. This is where I can help. I place HUGE emphasis on working with my students to build their self-esteem - regardless of any barriers that they may have - to ensure that they are able to thrive as the individual that they are.

I also work closely with you - the adult. During each hour long session I build time in time to listen to you and discuss what you think is best moving forwards. I am happy to support/advise and guide you in any way that I can - whether that is helping you to deal with issues related to school, or more general 'parenting' support.

I believe that by working in partnership you child will thrive and you will feel supported and confident that you have chosen a Tutor who genuinely cares about your child's wellbeing as well as helping them to become academically confident.
