I’m Sophie, a fully qualified teacher with eight years of experience across both state and independent schools - and someone who has spent the better part of two decades with a deep enthusiasm for literature, language, history, and Ancient Greece and Rome, and many years developing the craft of helping people think and learn more effectively.

I hold a BA in English from the University of Cambridge and an MA from the University of York, and I bring that depth of knowledge into every session, tailoring my approach entirely to you or your child - your pace, your goals, your ambitions.

I am genuinely enthusiastic about all of the listed subjects (yes, even grammar and poetic metre); I channel this enthusiasm into structured sessions with clear goals - but there is always room for questions and a good, interesting tangent.
