Key Stage 3 and GCSE Maths Tutoring with an MSc Physics Student to Bridge Learning Gaps

I studied physics at degree level and I am now finishing an MSc at Warwick, so maths has been the backbone of everything I have done. I like teaching it because most students do not actually struggle with maths, they struggle with one missing step from two years earlier, and once you find that step the rest follows. I teach Key Stage 3 maths, and I also teach the Indian CBSE and ICSE syllabus up to class 10, which I studied myself. My first experience of teaching was helping a classmate through his class 10 maths, and what worked was making him explain the method back to me rather than me repeating it. In a first session I will work through a few problems with you to see where the gaps are, then we build from there with short practice sets between lessons.
