I am a young 74 year old who enjoys helping students improve their maths skills.

Hello! I am an experienced Maths tutor with over 30 years of teaching experience and more than 20 years as an examiner. My examining experience has given me an in-depth understanding of exam boards, mark schemes and what examiners are looking for in students’ answers. I specialise in GCSE Maths and understand that every student is different. I am patient, approachable and have a good sense of humour. I adapt my teaching to suit each student’s individual character, strengths and weaknesses, helping them to build confidence, develop their understanding and achieve their full potential. My aim is to make Maths less daunting and more enjoyable, while equipping students with the knowledge, skills and exam techniques they need to succeed. Although I specialise in GCSE Maths, I am happy to continue tutoring my students through to 'A' Level if they wish to continue working with me.
