Advert description
My approach to tutoring is grounded in "Capacity Building." I don't just help students finish their homework; I provide the structural tools and mental models they need to navigate any academic or creative challenge independently.
I believe that every student has a "capacity restraint"—a specific bottleneck holding them back. My teaching follows a three-step Agile framework:
The Diagnostic (Empathy First): I start by meeting the student where they are. We identify the specific barrier: Is it a lack of structural organization? A confidence gap? Or a struggle to translate abstract theory into a practical answer?
Bespoke Scaffolding: I don’t use generic templates. Whether we are working on Key Stage literacy or A-Level Business Studies, I build a "scaffold" for that specific lesson. This includes custom tools like service blueprints for essays or design-thinking maps for problem-solving.
The "Forge" (Iterative Learning): We test the knowledge through "low-fidelity" practice. For younger students, this might be a storytelling game; for A-Level/Uni students, it’s a rapid-fire diagnostic session. We iterate based on what works, building academic stamina and ethical inquiry.
The Goal: To move from "passive learning" to "active mastery." I want my students to leave our sessions not just knowing the answer, but knowing how to build the answer themselves next time.
