I have worked as an English teacher for one year and after one year experience of teaching and applying
CLIL, my coordinator offered me to prepare lesson plans with all details and with materials which
includes games,activities, videos,handouts and homeworks.Between the years-I have been
preparing lesson plan which is arranged according to CLIL(I’ll explain what is CLIL below and I will add
some of my lesson plans to my CV so that you can see some of my works)I have been using this system
which allows me to prepare plans for different subjects such as;coursebook,reading,writing,cross
curriculum which has natural science and social science and everyday English lessons.
COURSEBOOK: according to the yearly plan, ı am supposed to arrange well detailed 40 mins. lesson plans
and write every step of the lesson to direct teachers.Plans include how to gain attention-what to say and
how to greet students warmly then rest of the steps teachers follow the pages and complete the given
tasks and complete the activities-watch the videos and listen to the song which is related to the unit of
the book.
CROSS CURRICULUM-NATURAL SCIENCE: Students are supposed to revise what they already learned in
their mother language as a school subject, for instance;body systems-all about matter-states of mattermachines-senses-animal kingdoms-all about animal clasification-world of food-changes in materials.
CROSS CURRICULUM-SOCIAL SCIENCE:Students are supposed to revise what they already learned in their
mother language as a school subject,such as:the wonders of weather and climate-water-water cyclelandforms-the air out there-life in space-exploring the past then and now-landforms.
WRITING: ss are supposed to start with dictation and after that ss will learn how to communicate and
how they effectively use their writings for communication and are supposed to know every
details and ways to apply in order to write opinion and narrative essays.
READING: students are supposed to start reading with paragraphs and then short stories using the
methods of scam and skim (scam is to defraud or embezzle while skim is to pass lightly; to glide along in
an even, smooth course; to glide along near the surface.)
