Advert description
I am a Biomedical Engineering graduate from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and currently pursuing the Master of Public Health (MPH) from Imperial College London.
My teaching style is such that I am a patient and kind tutor who believes in empowering his students. My objective of tuition sessions is to maximize learning by spending most of the lesson time to cover concepts and corrections and clear any misconceptions. I also create specific lesson plans for my students, depending on their aptitude. By adapting to the students' styles and abilities, they are able to learn more efficiently.
I have taught tuition to primary school students of varying capabilities for the last 5 years. Specifically, I have taught Math and Science to students from levels Primary 3 to Secondary 2. Under my wing, the grades of my students improved regardless of their level prior to starting classes with me, which ranged from failing to mid-nineties.
Personally, I have achieved an A grade for all of my Maths classes and won a few awards in Maths competitions, including a Gold award at the prestigious Singapore Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (SMOPS). I also represented Singapore at
the Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS).
