Languages student at Queen Mary university willing to teach secondary school, GCSE and A-level students

As an undergraduate student, my primary focus will be to ensure that my students/clients acquire their target language rather than simply ‘learn’ it. A language should not be taught in the traditional way of expecting students to learn endless amount of vocabulary from a textbook. Rather it should be something you fully immerse yourself in, you live and breathe it. I mainly want my students to flourish in their speaking and listening skills as these are the most essential skills needed for daily life. My lessons will consist of role-plays, working through small booklets and having weekly tests/ quizzes to track progress. Besides being taught listening, oral and speaking skills in my lessons students will be encouraged, as part of their homework, to watch programmes, read fiction and engage with natives to successfully acquire their target language.
