Highly Experienced Qualified Teacher: 11+ Specialist Tutoring at Home and Online with Over 20 Years of Tutoring Experience

Advert description
I am a fully qualified teacher (QTS) with over 20 years of tutoring experience, offering bespoke, high-quality tuition designed to deliver strong academic outcomes and lasting confidence.

I specialise in 11+ preparation, particularly for the GL Assessment (used by Bournemouth and Poole grammar schools).

With 6 years of full-time classroom teaching experience across both independent and state schools, alongside extensive private tutoring, I bring a deep understanding of how children learn best. I have also supported students through the National Tutoring Programme (Covid Catch-Up), working with a wide range of abilities and ages (5–16).

I offer face-to-face 11+ tuition in your home, creating a focused environment where your child can strengthen core skills, refine exam technique, and maximise their chances of success in selective school entry. For families seeking flexibility, I also deliver fully interactive online lessons via Zoom, using carefully designed resources, shared materials, and engaging teaching methods to ensure lessons remain effective and personalised.

I am known for my calm, patient, and encouraging manner, alongside a clear and effective teaching style. I take the time to ensure each child develops a secure understanding of key concepts, while maintaining high expectations to support strong academic achievement.

Lessons are carefully planned and supported by a wide range of high-quality materials, including textbooks, exam-style questions, and bespoke resources. Students benefit from:

*Targeted practice focused on individual areas for development.
*Extensive exposure to 11+ question types and exam techniques.
*Support with schoolwork, where appropriate.

Homework can be provided to reinforce learning between sessions and ensure consistent progress.

Please get in touch to arrange a lesson or discuss your child’s needs.
An initial consultation session is offered free of charge, providing an opportunity to asses your child’s current level and outline a clear plan for progress.

When am I available?
My timetable is flexible to suit your requirements either during the day or after school.
