From a young age I’ve always gravitated to aiding social causes, whether it be volunteering to help children who were sadly victims of abuse or helping children build the necessary skills to equip them for a bright an successful future, I’ve always wanted to play a hand at guiding, assisting and nurturing children into becoming the best version of themselves that they possibly could.
Prior to law school I volunteered at a non profit organisation dear to my heart called FAITH. Their purpose and objective was to equip vulnerable children against sexual assault and abuse by ensuring they had the necessary skills and knowledge in order to protect themselves in those dire situations. I was a key member within the organisation, delivering talks and partaking lead roles within national road shows and so forth. This was truly an enriching time for me and I gained a wealth of experience and had the opportunity to work with, mentor and meet some truly remarkable individuals. I continued this role also while pursuing law.
During my university holiday periods, I regularly undertook private tutoring sessions with students from my junior school. I’d discussed this notion with some of the heads of year at my school and had requested for them to share the offering with any students they felt may benefit from the additional help to which my student base grew where I focused on English and Science tutoring.
