Advert description
Academic Profile: Post-GCSE student regularly achieving Grade 9s in Physics, with predicted Grade 9s across all subjects.
Curriculum Expertise: Over 2 years of rigorous study dedicated entirely to the AQA Exam Board curriculum.
Exam Insights: Exam-specific knowledge of content layout, mark schemes and effective revision, having sat the papers this June.
For ambitious students aiming for top-tier results:
- Grade Boosters: Moving from a Grade 6 or 7 up to a 9.
- High Achievers: Maintaining and securing consistent Grade 9s throughout mocks and final exams.
Teaching Methodology:
GCSE Physics requires targeted intervention: breaking down complex topics for thorough grounding, tailored to you as the student. Whether that's content-heavy Electromagnetism, maths in Forces, or counter-intuitive diagrams in Electricity, understanding core concepts makes exam-style questions much easier, while understanding mark schemes ensures responses are accurate and efficient.
To tailor lessons, reviewing specification checklists and attempting challenging questions quickly identifies weaker topics. Sustainable practices such as marked homework, start-of-lesson review questions and step-by-step workings will improve both upcoming topic tests and long-term GCSE performance.
Lesson Structure:
- Lesson: Review quiz, specification-based teaching, model answers, guided exam-style questions, consolidation and past-paper practice.
- Pre-lesson: Identifying strengths and weaknesses.
- Post-lesson: Homework based on needs, with marking and feedback.
About Me:
I'm Parth - a Year 11 student at Pate's Grammar School studying Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Computer Science at A-Level.
I've developed teaching experience through founding a 45-student astro physics society, representing the school as a Physics Ambassador and FameLab finalist, and working with students from Year 7 to Year 13 through mentoring and RAF Air Cadets.
My fascination for Physics extends beyond the classroom through achieving the Arkwright Engineering Scholarship via projects, aptitude tests and interview assessment.
All in all, I'm a passionate and dedicated student willing to spend time and effort into helping others students like me achieve top grades in GCSE Physics.
