Advert description
Pressure can really impact a student’s ability to move forward. I prioritise building trusting relationships and patient encouragement so students can be more forgiving of themselves. This creates the space needed to understand their own learning and make opportunities out of mistakes.
Alongside my degree, my applied background and my tutoring experience, I am a trained mindfulness teacher. I guide students in seeing what they’re facing more clearly, finding ways to dig out of problems, and becoming more comfortable taking on increasing challenge. All while occasionally sharing our favourite Netflix shows or what we had for dinner last night, because who said learning should be no fun at all?
This is the kind of learning that serves us for life, helping us develop the flexibility, independence and trust in ourselves that stays with us long after the current exam becomes old news.
I have been tutoring and mentoring over the last 15 years and I’ve supported students across A-Level, GCSE, international curriculums, and vocational qualifications. I also help students with university entry exams, and school transitions.
I always to meet learners where they are, shuffling back if we need to, and constantly adapting so we pave our way to the goal rather than solely ticking off topics.
