ACCA-Qualified Accountant, 23 Years' Experience — Practical, Real-World Accountancy Tuition

I'm a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA, qualified 2009) with 23 years' experience across practice and industry, and I currently lead outsourced finance functions for a portfolio of growing businesses, including start-ups and scaling companies in tech, SaaS and biochemistry.

I teach accountancy the way I practise it — grounded in real business scenarios rather than just theory. Whether you're studying towards an accountancy qualification (AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA), a business owner trying to properly understand your own numbers, or simply looking to build confidence with bookkeeping, VAT, management accounts or financial statements, I can tailor lessons to where you are and what you actually need to know.

Over my career I've worked across bookkeeping, VAT and payroll, management accounts, year-end and statutory accounts, corporation tax, financial controls, and leading finance teams — so I can help with anything from foundational bookkeeping concepts through to more advanced financial reporting and analysis.

My teaching style is patient, practical and jargon-free. I break complex topics down into plain English, use real examples wherever possible, and focus on making sure concepts genuinely click rather than just getting you through the next exam question. I'm comfortable working with complete beginners as well as students preparing for professional exams.
